The succession follows one rule you can use on sight: when a folded reference went hollow, Rolex added a trailing zero, so the 7835 became the 78350. A folded-link Daytona from 1968 takes the 7835; a later example takes the 78350 — a production-year split of the same watch, not a duplicate.
